Dr. Nikki Blake

Dr. Nikki Blake

Dr. Undrea "Nikki" Blake is a native of Worcester County where she graduated from Snow Hill High School. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from Salisbury University in 2005, a master's in educational leadership from University of Phoenix in 2011 as well as a doctoral degree in education in 2020. Prior to becoming principal at Wicomico High School, Dr. Blake was an assistant principal at JMB for three years. She also taught at Pocomoke Middle School where she was the recipient of the Life Changer of the Year Spirit Award in 2016-2017. During her tenure at Pocomoke Middle School, Dr. Blake was integral in developing a mentoring program for struggling African-American males and always put students first in helping them to be successful throughout their academic careers and life. Dr. Blake is resilient and displays grit in meeting the needs of her students.

Tessa Celeste

Ms. Tessa Celeste

Mrs. Tessa Celeste serves as an Assistant Principal at Wicomico High School. She received a Bachelor of Arts in English and Secondary Education from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2011. In December of 2019, she received her Masters in Educational Leadership from Salisbury University. Mrs. Celeste taught English in Cabarrus County and Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools for three years prior to moving to Berlin, MD and starting her career in Wicomico County. Mrs. Celeste taught English at Wicomico High School and then served as the Testing Coordinator at James M. Bennett High School before returning back to Wicomico High School as Dean of Students. Mrs. Celeste loves working the students and staff at Wicomico High School.

Kamesha Miller

Ms. Kamesha Miller

Ms. Miller is a proud alumna of Salisbury University, earning both her B. A. in Elementary Education, an M. A. in English/TESOL, as well as completion of Admin. I credentials there. Through the course of over 25 years in education, she has been an elementary classroom teacher, served in ESOL Student Services, Media Specialist, migrant education facilitator, CCR agent, Secondary Schools Testing and BRIDGE Coordinator, grant writer, and Alternative Education Case Manager and program oversight. She also serves as an Adjunct II professor at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. She is very active in community service. Giving back is one of the best ways to pay it forward and show gratitude in her opinion. Before coming to Wi-Hi, She served as Dean of Students, Testing Coordinator, and Community “In-Reach” Coordinator at Bennett Middle School. Ms. Miller believes in preparing all students to be productive contributors to society as her professional goal.

Stephen Romano

Mr. Stephen Romano

  • Assistant Principal

Mr. Steve Romano is an Assistant Principal at Wicomico High School. Mr. Romano's educational career began in Wicomico County in 2014 as a substitute teacher, and he's extremely excited to get the opportunity to serve the community he's called home for the past 10 years. He comes to WiHi from Cambridge-South Dorchester High School, where he taught science for five years and later served as an Assistant Principal and Athletic Director. Mr. Romano graduated from Lycoming College in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in Biology. In 2015, he earned his Master's in the Arts of Teaching from Salisbury University. In 2020, Mr. Romano received his Post Master's Certificate in Educational Leadership from SU.
