A number of Central Office administrative changes have taken effect for Wicomico County Public Schools this summer. Congratulations to everyone who is new to the Central Office team that supports Wicomico Schools, or who has taken on a new role in the Central Office for the 2025-2026 school year.
Congratulations are also extended to the newly promoted principal and two assistant principals, named at the July 8 Board of Education meeting. The school system is excited to see them put their experience and talents to work in new school settings for the upcoming school year.
The July 8 school leadership promotions and the Summer 2025 Central Office administrative changes are listed below, followed by the current listing of all school leadership teams with principals, assistant principals and deans of students, and then a summary of the school leadership changes that took effect on July 1. (Please note that three dean of students positions (at Glen Avenue Elementary, James M. Bennett High and Parkside High) will be filled in the near future.)

Principal and Assistant Principal Changes (Effective July 8, 2025):
Principal, Pittsville Elementary & Middle: Kaytlin Curren (promoted from Assistant Principal, at Northwestern Elementary). She replaces Kris Gosnell, who retired.
Assistant Principal, Northwestern Elementary: Hannah Parr (promoted from Dean of Students, at Glen Avenue Elementary). She replaces Kaytlin Curren, who is now Principal at Pittsville Elementary & Middle.
Assistant Principal, Wicomico High: Heather Sneeuwjagt (promoted from Dean of Students, at James M. Bennett High). She replaces Steve Romano, who is now Supervisor of Athletic Programs.

Beaver Run Elementary: AP Laura Miles (formerly Assistant Principal at East Salisbury Elementary) is now an Assistant Principal at Beaver Run.
Charles H. Chipman Elementary: AP Julie Stevens joined the Chipman leadership team, serving as an AP for Chipman and overseeing ELT (Early Learning Transitions, the alternative education program for Prekindergarten-Grade 1). She was formerly an AP for Beaver Run and ELT, when ELT was located on the east side of Salisbury.
East Salisbury Elementary: AP Heather Cherry (formerly the AP of Westside Intermediate) replaced Laura Miles (who moved to Beaver Run Elementary as an AP); Dr. Keoshia Warner-Chaibou (formerly the AP at West Salisbury Elementary) returned to East Salisbury to serve as an AP for East Salisbury and to oversee PATH (Positive Actions Transform Horizons, the alternative education program for grades 2-5).
North Salisbury Elementary: AP Jesse Taylor (formerly Dean of Students at Westside Primary) replaced Breonna Hopkins (who moved to Westside Primary as Principal); Heather Smith (formerly a Dean of Students at Bennett Middle) became Dean of Students at North Salisbury (replacing Tiffany Redden, now a Pupil Personnel Worker for Wicomico Schools).
West Salisbury Elementary: AP Erica Henkel (formerly an AP at Beaver Run Elementary) replaced Dr. Keoshia Warner-Chaibou (who moved to East Salisbury Elementary as an AP for ESS and the PATH program).
Westside Primary: Dean of Students Stephanie Dickerson (formerly a 1st Grade teacher at Fruitland Primary) replaced Jesse Taylor (promoted to Assistant Principal at North Salisbury Elementary).
Westside Intermediate: AP Leslie Tolley (promoted from her former position as Dean of Students for Choices Academy) replaced Heather Cherry (who moved to East Salisbury Elementary as an AP).
Pittsville Elementary & Middle: AP Makayla Muir (new to Wicomico County Public Schools, formerly with Worcester County Public Schools) replaced Marie Baker (now an ESOL Coordinator II).
Bennett Middle: Panagiota Salpeas (formerly a science teacher at BMS) now serves as a Dean of Students, replacing Heather Smith (now Dean of Students at North Salisbury Elementary).
Wicomico Middle: Lacey Leo (formerly a Health Education teacher at Bennett Middle) now serves as a Dean of Students for Wi Middle, replacing Babe Wilson (promoted to serve as a Safe Schools Coordinator for Wicomico Schools).
